Rolywholyover A Circus (for museum by John Cage) At the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles; assumes the form of an exhibition but is in fact a composition of static works that changes: a dynamic, non-static work of art. Museums within a thirty-mile radius of MOCA were asked to list ten objects from their permanent collections that they would be willing to lend for a project by John Cage. Chance operations were performed to determine the selection of an object from each museum, and to direct the placement of objects. |
